Join us on August 26, as we meet with healthcare experts to discuss Covid-19 health care measures and the drive for information on Vaccines. This event is an opportunity to engage in critical conversations with medical professionals about vaccine safety and efficacy.
Speakers:
Dr. Alyson Ann Kelvin - virologist and vaccinologist (Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization (VIDO)). She holds an adjunct Professorship with the Department of Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Immunology at the University of Saskatchewan. Her research focuses on the diseases caused by emerging respiratory viruses and the design of vaccines to prevent emerging virus infection.
Anureet Lotay - a community researcher and doctoral candidate (UVic) studying medical anthropology and the intersections of health and culture. She takes great pride in teaching in the community and in higher education with a focus on knowledge translation, simplifying health related topics, and dispelling misinformation.
