Block party celebrates culture of downtown Victoria's Millie's Lane

CREAN Society’s June Block Party was featured in Victoria News.

A downtown Victoria block party celebrates culture and diversity in a laneway rich in history.

The Coastal Research, Education, and Advocacy Network (CREAN) and Greater Victoria Business Association work together to revitalize the space and strengthen the community. CREAN hosts the free, public event to promote that work and celebrate Canadian Multiculturalism Day.

“The block party is not only a celebration of culture and diversity, but a meaningful opportunity to strengthen our community through food, music, and shared experiences,” a CREAN spokesperson said. “The event will feature voices across Victoria’s diverse community and highlight the work of local entrepreneurs and artists, fostering a vibrant space for connection and collaboration.”
