Youth Hackathon Showcase: If We Designed the Algorithm

  • Victoria City Hall 1 Centennial Square Victoria, BC, V8W 1P6 Canada (map)

Join youth as they curate innovative ideas around redesigned systems, technology and AI tools.

Join CREAN as we amplify youth to imagine what technology could look like if it was built for care, inclusion, and equity. Groups will create a short story and a simple prototype responding to real community challenges like mental health support, accessibility, and belonging. Each team will share what their “algorithm” would protect, who it would serve, and how it would avoid harm. Community members will be invited to “judge” and find avenues to support youth ideas from ideation to creation.

The venue is wheelchair accessible and a free hot lunch is available with veg/vegan options.
