From providing services to individuals from all backgrounds, we have realized how access to financial literacy information is often lacking in our communities. Our organization sought to use financial literacy as a way to provide UVic students with practical skills to improve their quality of life. This workshop was intended to teach the basic principles of financial stewardship to our community. Our guest speakers included Patrick Woo, RBC advisor and Investment manager. Discussion topics included financial skills every young person should know such as basics on investing, saving, student loans, and planning for grad school.
